Objects like clothes, and mattresses etc. can be packed in cartons. You can get these cartons either from your Mover or from the neighborhood grocer. See to it that the cartons you collect are in proper shape so as to last through the journey. Always pack according to a plan. Never rush through this process. Always, start packing before the due date, so that you have ample time for it. Categorize the stuff you have into sections like the ones you need, the stuff you can store, the ones which can be sold, and the stuff that has to be discarded before you start packing. Prepare a check list of the objects that need to be packed. You got to take a great care when you are packing your electrical appliances, as they are very sensitive.
